Sigourney Weaver, John C. Reilly and Alia Shawkat have been announced as joining Ed Helms and Anne Heche in the upcoming Fox Searchlight comedy “Cedar Rapids,” directed by Miguel Arteta. Written by Phil Johnston, the film is about a salesman (Helms) who goes to a regional convention in a last-ditch effort to save his and his coworkers’ jobs. Weaver, who next appears in James Cameron’s upcoming “Avatar”, is slotted to play Helms’s former 7th-grade teacher. Reilly’s and Shawkat’s roles have not been announced yet.
